Samsung is set to redefine the premium built-in kitchen experience at IFA 2025, showcasing a new generation of AI-powered appliances designed to meet evolving European consumer demands for spacious, café-like kitchen aesthetics. The company’s presence at the major European consumer electronics trade fair, running from September 5-9 in Berlin, will highlight its vision for an integrated “AI Home,” with a particular focus on two standout innovations: the Extractor Induction Hob and the Bespoke AI Dishwasher.

The Future of Cooking: The Extractor Induction Hob

At the forefront of Samsung’s kitchen innovations is the new Extractor Induction Hob. This groundbreaking appliance seamlessly integrates a powerful ventilation hood directly into the cooktop itself, eliminating the need for traditional, often obtrusive, ceiling-mounted hoods. This integration is a direct response to European kitchen design trends that favor open-plan layouts, island countertops, and a cleaner, more minimalist visual flow. The hob features a “turbo-slim fan” for potent airflow, efficiently capturing smoke and cooking odors at the source, while its exhaust duct is discreetly installed below or behind the countertop. Beyond its ventilation capabilities, the Extractor Induction Hob boasts “Flex Zone Plus” technology, offering flexible pot and pan placement with four induction coils per zone for even heat distribution. Crafted with a durable, matte-finish, high-durability glass surface, it’s also scratch-resistant and features an anti-fingerprint coating, ensuring it maintains its premium appearance with easy upkeep. This appliance is expected to achieve European energy efficiency standard A++.

Smarter Cleaning Redefined: The Bespoke AI Dishwasher

Complementing the cooking innovation, Samsung will also introduce its Bespoke AI Dishwasher in Europe. Designed for seamless integration into modern cabinetry, this dishwasher features an “Auto Open Door” function. This convenient feature allows the door to pop open slightly after a cycle, aiding in the drying process without requiring users to add an external handle, thereby preserving the sleek, handle-free aesthetic of the kitchen units. Inside, the dishwasher prioritizes loading flexibility with a redesigned upper rack that includes a dedicated space for glassware. At its core, the Bespoke AI Dishwasher leverages artificial intelligence, utilizing an AI algorithm and a high-sensitivity turbidity sensor to optimize cleaning. This technology automatically determines the soil level of the dishes and adjusts wash cycles, water temperature, and duration accordingly for superior cleaning performance while enhancing energy efficiency. Early reports indicate that the AI Wash cycle has already seen significant adoption, being used more than twice as often as standard cycles in initial markets.

Integrated AI Home Ecosystem

These new kitchen appliances are part of Samsung’s broader “AI Home” vision, which aims to create a unified, intelligent living experience powered by its SmartThings platform and enhanced by Galaxy AI devices. The company is positioning IFA 2025 as a key event to demonstrate how AI can seamlessly integrate into daily life, offering convenience, efficiency, and enhanced user experiences across all connected devices. The focus on AI technology extends beyond the kitchen, with Samsung also expected to showcase innovations like its Micro RGB TV, reinforcing its commitment to an AI-driven future for the connected home.

Both the Extractor Induction Hob and the Bespoke AI Dishwasher are slated for a European launch in the first half of 2026, reflecting Samsung’s strategic focus on delivering advanced, design-forward, and energy-efficient solutions tailored for the premium built-in kitchen market. This latest news underscores Samsung’s ongoing investment in smart home technology and its ambition to lead in the AI appliance sector.
